Same, I have a telly, but it's a second display for my laptop, where I watch Youtube/netflix/movies etc while doing something else.

Not far wrong. The very thick bezel definitely ages it.

I should have added an option for that.

Both of my kids are similar - it's pretty much me & mrs mik exclusively using the telly (other than occaisional family viewing of something like Blue Planet). Occaisionally they will watch the same show together - usually in the other room though - but most times they watch the same show independently for convenience and then talk about it.....

We've got an old 37" Toshiba with a comedy bezel in the bedroom - mainly cos we still had the telly and a space it could sit in. It probably gets switched on about once every 2 months but the screen looks pretty small when you do so. One of these.

Yup, that's about what my Samsung 6(?) series looks like. When it goes (it has got three columns of pixels on the right side that don't work properly until it warms up, so probably not long) I'll replace it with a 40ish inch one that'll fit easily in the same space.

Growing up, our Dad refused to get a second TV. He didn't want the family off in multiple rooms so your choice was TV, with the family together, Music with Head Phones, Read a Book or Go outside. Simpler times

I've sort of feel the same way so have done the same. I know if we get a second TV, My other half and I will never see each other as her TV choices and mine are very different. So now, we all tend to be in the Living Room, even if not watching TV. Nipper might be on Laptop streaming NBA and herself doing Ancestry but we tend to be together.

We only have 1 TV, we don't have one in the bedroom and it's just us in the flat so no need for another TV room.

On the subject of Comedy bezels. My old TV had a huge border round the screen, when I first got the new TV I was getting a weird uncanny valley effect which I think was due to the much thinner bezel and higher res.
An absolute unit

Mrs and I don't go and watch different programmes in different rooms, although the 2nd telly is used for the Playstation & my steering wheel too... I know she wouldn't be able to tolerate gaming on the main telly in the livingroom (and I'm in no mood to chat when I'm trying to nail the apexes through eau rouge etc).
