I've never understood why people post photos of their battered boat race on social media after an accident. That's literally the last time I want anyone seeing me.

I don't want to be a cunt but if you're well enough to be taking selfies should you be in an ambulance?
How about not having a sig at all?

I don't want to see selfies, I want to see 360-degree camera angles of the crash so we can all argue about who was at fault.

In other news read some of the lunacy here. Apparently wearing a helmet when cycling makes you more likely to get hit by a vehicle and helmet are not a worthwhile safety device.

He was probably on his way out after being checked over and found to be ok(ish).

cycleoptic💙💚@cycleoptic Replying to @Touringthecars @ThrottleSteerer and 10 others
The Bristol research, I referred to, was that cars passed those with helmets closer ( and those with flowing blond hair wider ! )

There are loads of situations where people are perfectly capable of taking selfies but really shouldn't. With a battered Chevy Chase in the back of an ambulance or in hospital it's a bad time and your selfie will scream PITY ME.

Anyway, @Jobbo is totally correct, we want to see the evidence of how badly he brought that shit upon himself.

The taxi creeping into the cycle lane at the junction.

Might not seem like a big deal if you're in a car but it's an anxious moment when you're coming across a junction on a bike and someone keeps rolling out.

Taxi is a nob for sticking his nose out of the junction, but I don't see him continuing to creep forward.

The reaction to the Jeep amused me - the Jeep was aware of the cyclist's presence and avoided crossing the cycle lane until he was past - which is exactly what Jeremy Vile was suggesting the driver in his video should have done - yet this cyclist is still upset. We clearly need a new indicator fitted to all vehicles that signals "I intend to turn, but only after you have passed".

I reckon the taxi was going to pull out for the gap but just misjudged the speed of the cyclist/jeep and was left in that awkward spot. Most of them are shit drivers anyway.
Jeep shouldn't have bothered bombing past the cyclist and then slamming on the brakes to wait for him. I'd have just sat behind him because what's the point.
