Saw my first one irl.. triple black. Certainly doesn’t blend in! Looked very good tbh.. are they wider than the saloon?

I think its the same track width as the saloon but I guess its maybe accentuated more because of the higher rear quarter as opposed to the "half height" for the boot? On a 3 series I have always thought that the best looking is the coupe, estate, saloon in that order.
I know technically now the coupe is a 4 but in this gen, I think that estate wins over the coupe.

Depends on which one for me, E90 was much cooler looking than E92 IMO.

I prefer the four door version of all the ones you’ve been able to buy a saloon version in
E90 had a much tighter And more aggressive rear than the 92.
There have been a few e46 M3 tourings built which look fantastic too.

I think I also prefer most of them in saloon guise TBH.

The E90 was far cooler than the E92 - rarer for a start but the coupe front end stuck on the saloon body really worked.

I understand the love for the E90 M3, especially as it's rarer but for me, on a car that size car the coupe wins, whereas on larger cars such as the 7 and despite there being something cool about the S class coupe, its saloon all day long. When it comes to the 5/e class it's even tighter between the estate and saloon.

Weirdly I have a thing for the S500 coupe, I don't know what it is, it's got some sort of presence (I guess just because it's massive!).

I just never got on with the E90 styling in 3 door form. The rear end was good, but everything else seemed to just be a bit bland - BMW didn't seem to make it subtle, sleek and muscular in the way that Mercedes seem to be able to do. As a result I just don't think it looks great at all. It's the presence thing that @duncs500 says.
I saw a white convertible one yesterday and if it wasn't for the mirrors I wouldn't have realised it was an M3 tbh.

Sadly, the door mirrors thing isn’t even a guarantee any more; the Slough massiv have all added them to every 3/4 series.. and I mean added, ie stuck on, some inboard bits of plastic, not full replacements

I like the look/stance of the e90 M3, but I never want/wanted rear doors because rear doors are for family cars, so it was e92 all the way for me.
In normal form the e92 looks a bit lame, but with the M arches, the rear quarters are transformed to me.

I think it’s all wider cost cutting and much simpler to do because of it now. Previously the M cars had unique housings and mirror glass. So for however many quid it costs to off ebay and 2 minutes if your time, you can have M mirrors.
How about not having a sig at all?
