Would need a fortune spending on it if you wanted to make it a decent looking car, passenger front wing is battered, dents up the rear pillar etc. more than just carpark door dings!

Yup, rear arches and the lower door corner are obviously rusted - and if they've not been fixed, you can bet your boots it's like swiss cheese underneath.

Buy that car, throw two or three grand at it (because you can bet the bushes are fucked, the AC doesn't work, every panel looks like it has a non PDR-fixable ding in it, and needs paint and has a shaky MOT history: https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/re ... on=x282cju ), and you might have a two grand car at the end of it that you'd never fully trust because you don't know how good the welding was, when it was eventually done to drag it kicking and screaming through an MOT at the bare minimum price.

Or you can spend £2k and get a cleaner one that doesn't appear to have been parked outside a golf driving range and has passed it's MOTs with almost no advisories for over a decade.

I know which I'd rather have

Looking again at the ad I'd posted, I don't know if the pics are bigger now than when I first saw it or quite what has happened but the door and arches are fecking obvious  I wouldn't have bothered posting it :(

A couple more dirt cheap Clubmans in need of repairs - probably nothing too difficult. Both from a breakers in Southampton.

Not simultaneously, but Southampton is only an hour from here. I could have them both back home by lunchtime if I get my skates on.

Wifey has said I can buy both if I'm going to fix them & flip them

Totally unrelated news - she's currently on her fourth glass of prosecco this evening

She's not drinking under duress, is she? It's a valid offer then.
I prefer the trim of a couple of other he's got, always the way...

(I haven't finished going through the listings yet).
Elsewhere, I haven't seen this trim before; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-MINI-COO ... 7675.l2557

I’m still looking at cheap 4x4s to use as a run about in the woods. I don’t know why but I thought I could tax the car, SORN it and then claim back 5 months of tax but seems that’s no longer the case. + a 1 day insurance policy is about £70. So it makes much more sense to just pick up a smaller car with my trailer (capacity 1400kg).
Sadly this rules out shonky Range Rovers, XC90s, Cayennes and X5s but that’s probably a blessing in disguise.
How about not having a sig at all?
