it's a bit boNkers though isn't it, he could never actually have £138bn of cash because the second he started selling tsla stock in any large quantity it would plummet in value. It's all just make believe numbers at that stage.

Re: Twitter
I reckon he could only liquidate about half of that in reality. I remember last year there was a push in America to tax unrealised wealth, and the epic declines of the stock market show just how stupid an idea that was.
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Twitter
As long as none of it is Tesla stock, as he pinkie promised not to sell any more.
You know, like he's promised many times before, and then just did it anyway when he needed a quick buck.

He now has significantly less than 33 cars

Watched this. Confirms that Tate’s a massive dork tbh.
Hopefully be able to get back to his war room and hang out with the wizard and alpha wolf soon.

Re: Twitter
I watched all of that, absolutely incredulous that these people exist, and have such a following. We're fucked as a species I think.
You settle up, I'll go get the Jag.

That. Also if someone feels the need to have that much security then they’re clearly up to no good. Reminds me exactly of James Stunts house, same wall, with 2 security guards all the time.
Going further back there was another house with the same
set up in Hampstead which I used to go past regularly. A year later it came out that it belonged to Gaddafi’s son.

A long read, but a good catch up on Twitter so far under Musk.

He said it’s an experiment to see how many views private tweets get vs how it was.
I think it’s part of an Instagram type thing where it forces users who are curious but don’t have accounts or don’t follow to actually get more actively involved.

I'm really enjoying having an edit button for tweets, it's always that first re-read after hitting 'Tweet' when typos or errors become visible
Re: Twitter
Does it have a 'history' function so you can see what the original was?

It shows if the tweet has been edited, but doesn't show what the edit was.Beany wrote: Wed Feb 01, 2023 12:56 pm Does it have a 'history' function so you can see what the original was?
Re: Twitter
Just to piss off Elon, everyone should just keep re-editing their last Tweet rather making new Tweets
Re: Twitter
Welp, that's one USP of twitter gone - the relative immutability (beyond deletion) of public statements by idiots.
A deleted tweet followed by being ratio'd won't be as fun as an edited tweet followed by being ratio'd.

On the other hand, it's persistently been the no.1 most requested feature by people who actually use Twitter.Beany wrote: Wed Feb 01, 2023 1:21 pmWelp, that's one USP of twitter gone - the relative immutability (beyond deletion) of public statements by idiots.

Re: Twitter
I can see both sides tbh. Editing is always useful, but I'll miss the simple joy of someone making a cunt of themselves and not being able to do anything about it.

I discontinued my Blue sub, but when I was experimenting with the feautures the edit would leave the original intact if anyone had interacted with it, so you'd effectively have a parallel thread.
