Just curious where do horse people take horses to? There’s always being trailered about and I’m curious if I could just rock up and park at Hyde Park and take a horse for a walk through London

There's quite a few equestrian places local to us. There's Keysoe Equestrian which holds events most weekends that's about 2 miles away. Youngest daughter does Pony Camp each year which is in another village. I think it gets a bit boring just using the same horse school and routes at one yard, so I know horsey types like to move about.

2011 Tiguan TDI 4motion tows an IW HB511 with a 17hh horse ok, modest remap has helped with hills. Tiguans seem to hold their value pretty well, 5k should get a good one.

Stepson just bought a 2013 Tiguan 2 weeks ago, but was told to jog on for borrowing it . Haven't looked at older ones though

My wife is off this morning with her horse and trailer to a beach down the coast for a mooch.

She'll also go to other places for lessons and competitions, but the trailer is also handy for trips to the vet if needed. Or taking sofas to the tip. Very handy thing to have.

She has public liability insurance etc so I'm guessing could rock up at Hyde Park if she wanted?

My other half had a Tiguan for a few years - 2.0 TDi 170 hp.

I always thought it a nice little car - nice, if a little boring, to drive. Can't comment on it's towing ability though

Mrs wants a tow car for a Horse Trailer (Horse Boxes are stupid money and we can borrow a trailer, hence cheaper to get a tow car). Budget is £5k and must be cheap to run (no X5 V8's), small (Yeti, Kuga etc) and tow up to 2 tonnes.

Both the I3 and Tesla can't really tow and don't want to change these, so a 3rd car it is.

We both quite like Yeti's so any experience of these would be welcome or anything else you think would be better?

Freelander 2. Tows up to 2 tonnes and is a good tow car for the size. Popular with horse people and caravanners. Get the SD4 if you can as it's more powerful. Auto would be a good shout too (all SD4s are autos).
