If yes; please depart with your head held vey very low.....
I was gonna mention those headlights but Mik beat me to it. Is that 'black behind a normal cover' legal then?

Oh, and I like the rest apart from the sub.
They better be legal as the garage who fitted them also do my MOT, I didn’t pick them just been told they’re the best ones as they have a lifetime warranty. It’s the same ones Twisted use on all their cars.

The look like projector lights in a black plastic housing, where the housing is just there as a cover not to do anything to the light output, like a lot of factory smoked headlights. Rather than just a black piece of plastic or coating over the front of the whole thing.

Still look awful next to the clear rest of the lights and silver bits stuck to it.

Impressed at the girth of the light bar though

The black matches the winch, lightbar and mirrors. Having them in silver looks like too much and it was a lighter silver than the grill and roof which would bug me. Once turned on it has DRLs which make it blend in nicely.
I’ve just remembered that even the 6 series has a black plastic surround behind the lens too! Image

The suspension has been completely polybushed too. Because racecar.

Please throw that steering wheel away, the rest of it's ok. The headlights look a bit eBay...get the GE Nighthawk one's, they are expensive but apparently very good.

I suspect it would look better if it was photographed straight.

It is a bizarre choice of wheel for a defender.

I know its a bit rude, but can you give an indication of the running total spent on mods for this thing? Just for SD. :?

I want to like your defender, I really do.

I think for me, the main problem is that the traditional paint is at odds with all the cunts money stuff thrown at it. If you paint the roof black then it won't offend me so much as you'll just look like a cunt and not like a cunt who's trying to convince people that he's alright really.

As it is, I won't be waving. I'm glad that you like it though.

My old truck is going really well at the moment (it's all relative). For some reason, since I had the head skimmed, it's started using oil a fair bit but other than that it hasn't cost me any money lately.

Couple of pics from this mornings dog walk.

Subaru appears to be fucked.

The mrs has been driving it lately and she's not had any bother but I took it for a spirited drive and all the coolant ended up in the reservoir which doesn't then return to the rad when it cools. Got to be exhaust gas forcing it in there and then it's sucking air through the gasket when it cools. There are no leaks in the system.

It's been a great car for the seven years I've had it but I'll part ex it against something just to get shot.

4 Series is now claiming the rear brake lights have blown along with the indicators.

Which wheel would you bastards have gone for? https://www.devon4x4.com/off-road-store ... osses.html
The metal spoked ones on the second row look nice but I don’t think they’ll be nice to handle when you get in a baking hot car. I really wanted something with a bit of alcantara to match the roof and a flat bottom was preferable for extra clearance.

Price for the modifications so far including previous jobs would equate to a new Dacia Duster Prestige with 4WD. That’s not including the servicing, consumables and fault fixing.

I had a Series 2 wave to me today, but maybe he didn’t notice my roof

Nicely cryptic as I am not up to date on Duster prices.

I used google.

Finished working on the front suspension yesterday. So, from an original plan to replace both dampers, turret bearings and a wheel bearing, it actually turned into:

2 dampers
2 wheel bearings
2 lower arms
2 ARB drop-links
2 turret bearings, dust boots and anti vibration mounts for the springs

It drives so much better now though. I'm throwing it at the wheel alignment place for a hunter alignment on Wednesday. Won't put any proper miles on it till then.

Sounds like a lot to do in high temperatures!

DSales, I actually like the rest of the LR, but sort the wheel out - Harry's got it right 😁

Yup. I was sweating buckets! Not so bad when the sun has gone round the back of the house though, but was glad to get into a cold shower after.
