I never twigged he was 55.

Quite a life but such a shame, he was getting his daughter involved in racing etc too.

More detail in some of the more recent reports - eg SKY News Report

The accident happened in Utah's Wasatch County and the Sheriff's Office said that Block was riding on a steep slope when the snowmobile upended and landed on top of him.

"He was pronounced deceased at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident," they said in a statement, adding that he was riding in a group but was alone when the accident occurred.

I'm not a follower, but I saw his recent posts on Twitter/Insta mentioning the snow, his new snowmobile, and guidance he was getting from some more experienced guys.

I see that Jeremy Renner managed to run himself over with his own snow plough leading to what sounds like massive blood loss which was stemmed by a neighbour who was a doctor. He's now in critical but stable condition.
Cheers,

Mike.

I believe THIS is the new skidoo he mentioned on his Insta.

850cc turbo : 185bhp : 208kg.

Serious piece of kit.
