Re: Twitter
Now compare it to other EV stocks - Nio, Lucid, Rivian, Xpeng.
How about not having a sig at all?

Re: Twitter
You've never disliked anyone famous (could be a rich celebrity or maybe a politician) who's lied and fucked people over to get where they are, and taken even the slightest pleasure in watching them fail at something?
You're a better man than any of us if that's the case!
I was ok with Musk, even with his constant lying up to the point where he paid way over the odds for Twitter, moaned that it wasn't making money despite saddling it with massive extra debt, then got rid of half the Twitter staff in a massively cunty way (then tried to get some back) whilst proclaiming himself some sort of free speech god.
I'm not saying the staff shouldn't have been got rid of, but there's a process to actually be a nice human being that wouldn't have taken much longer.

Of course I have, but not for more than a couple of minutes. I can’t believe the energy going into thisRich B wrote: Sat Dec 24, 2022 8:13 amYou've never disliked anyone famous (could be a rich celebrity or maybe a politician) who's lied and fucked people over to get where they are, and taken even the slightest pleasure in watching them fail at something?

As Bill Burr would say, he's been the richest man in the world, owned a McLaren F1 in his 20s... that guy's a moron? What the fuck am I?

Or we could all just stop discussing it as it happens to make sure you're not offended?
Re: Twitter
I think you’re taking it a bit far with ‘offended’, Rich
Just a bit puzzled.

Exclusive: Twitter removes suicide prevention feature, says it's under revamp
https://www.reuters.com/technology/elon ... 022-12-23/
A: Why take it down at Christmas, which is when a lot of people are at risk of poor mental health (although it's not as big a spike for suicide as people think, which surprised me, honestly)
B: Have they heard of these things called dev and test environments, where you can make changes without impacting live? Or does this feature have a 'crazy stack', need a 'whole rewrite' and is broken beyond repair, too?
It's not like I have to go looking for this stuff, with the feeds I follow - mostly cynical tech stuff - this just lands in my lap.

He’s been a dick for a long long time, it’s quite amusing to see it all unravelling in public, and watching the fanboys try and defend him
Cheers, Harry

Re: Twitter
Oh, quelle surprise. Also, Musk is flat out lying - the suicide prevention messages weren't coming up when people were testing.
Almost like he was caught with his pants down again.

You'd think *someone* at twitter would go 'what are the optics on this likely to be if someone notices this'.
Who am I kidding, there's no-one left doing PR at twitter any more.

Re: Twitter
I'm sure we're all cunts to someone!

Musk is undoubtedly a cunt, but moron or idiot are much more contentious for me. I have a lot of respect for what he's achieved with Tesla and in particular SpaceX. I just think his ego has inflated into a god complex and that's been his downfall in recent years, he's started believing his own hype. Certainly not the first person that's happened to.
