No, just got chatting to some Truck folks at a show. I'm on the financial services side but the technology is amazing.
Did you know Mercedes Trucks have 5 separate braking systems all working in unison, including a restriction system on the valves for mechanical braking as well as a system on the drive shaft and the Gear Box.
One of the Renault units had suspension on the cab so the axels didn't need as much suspension to aid with traction and tyre wear, Mad stuff altogether. The Renault guy claimed that driving through a major city, the catalytic converter cleaned the air so much that what came out the exhaust was cleaner than what went in but that seemed like a stretch to me.

I don't work in the industry but am a bit of a geek when it comes to trucks, mainly Scania V8s. I grew up going away with dad in the wagon when he drove. He's now a director of a haulage company that has over 600 trucks, so the geekiness has expanded to the numbers side of the business. Eg: we were chatting about fuel costs and the company bill is currently £700k per week

To be fair, I'm no expert - I was amazed to hear that Truck Brakes are always locked and the Hydraulics holds them open so if the system fails, they lock on. this is why you occasionally see a long single skid mark on the motorway.

Some of the big stuff used to move our kit has eddy current brakes which is the work of voodoo and the devil.

Range in the i3s has taken a hammering this week typically 120 miles from a charge down from 180 in the summer
That's still at least 2 days driving but i'm surprised at the size of the drop.
On the plus side i remembered you can program the <> button on the key to defrost and preheat the car remotely

Similar here, reckon I'd lose 30% range over all in the current cold temps. Mines the base model though, no heat pump or heated seats to take the strain, so it's all battery.
The quick warm up is much better though, windows are clear by the time I've scraped the ice off the outside.

Our Kona has gone from about 260/270 in the summer to 204 on a full charge this morning. The 1 1/2 mile drive back from school was only 2.2m/kw, whereas it can be over 10 normally as it's mostly downhill. Heating is not the EV's friend!

The Tesla does a break down of how the energy is used. In 99.6 miles of driving it used an extra 30.5 miles worth of range just for heating.
Driving like a cunt only added 13.3 miles of additional consumption.
Therefore with EVs in winter it’s cheaper to drive very fast and get home quicker so you use less energy warming the cabin.
In conclusion driving faster is saving the planet.

Zoe reports a range of 128 miles, down from a best of 150-something.
Was going to drive it to the office today, but as that's 124 miles round-trip and there's no on-site chargers (site owner/manager apparently will install some "eventually"), I thought that would be pushing my luck. So took the Galaxy instead.

I've mentioned previously that i'm convinced some of the main stream media is sponsored anti ev propaganda but the Daily Fail piece on ev's collapsing multi storey car parks is a new level
They've compared the weight of a Tesla 3 to a Mk3 Cortina and i think they've even made those weights up lol

To be fair, when 50% of cars are EV that will be a huge difference.
Also, around Peterborough, someone figured out that the rebar that was used wasn’t lasting as well as they had hoped, so the market car park had to be torn down plus all the bridges had to be re-enforced.
