They sell This isn't stuff in our local Sainsburys, not seen sausages though.
Re: What sausages?
I've only seen the sausages in big Asdas so far. The bacon's good as well though, they don't bother trying to make it look like bacon but they give the strips a little feathered edge which approximates the texture of crispy bacon better than anything else I've tried.
I'm a sucker for vegan junk food, I have to try any weird new thing that comes out. The only one I've actually hated were the vegan babybels. Completely inedible. Oh and the vegan tinned tuna, but I don't like actual tinned tuna so I don't know what I was expecting there

Are you local to borough market? Thought you were north london for some reason.Gavster wrote: Thu Dec 15, 2022 2:02 pm Popped into a local deli today, the German one, for some sausage. That’s the best part about London, there’s every damn cuisine you could ever want. Picked up curry ketchup while there as well.

Lol I hadn't seen the address on there! I'm east London and their main shop/warehouse is in Walthamstow which is just up the road from me.GG. wrote: Thu Dec 15, 2022 2:12 pmAre you local to borough market? Walthamstow isn't a real place, it's the magical land that East 17 made up as their home.

Found a pack of their sausages in my small Sainsburys, maybe I haven’t seen them as they sell out.ZedLeg wrote: Thu Dec 15, 2022 10:52 am I've only seen the sausages in big Asdas so far. Re: What sausages?
Walthamstow is a funny place, I always assumed it was E17 and the dog track. These days it's had a crazy property boom and period of gentrification that's traded more on being William Morris' home than 'Stay Another Day'ZedLeg wrote: Thu Dec 15, 2022 2:21 pm Walthamstow isn't a real place, it's the magical land that East 17 made up as their home.
Re: What sausages?
I was reading an article the other day which had it as one of the top ten coolest places in the UK!
The only other person I know who lives there is an old school acquaintance that seems to do an annual pilgrimage to burning man festival every year... make of that what you will!

Re: What sausages?
"coolest place in the UK" usually just means cheap and full of art students.
Dennistoun in Glasgow was on the list for a while and even I'd think twice about going into most of the pubs along there

Re: What sausages?
Ironically artists are usually the ones who trigger gentrification in an area by moving there because it’s cheap, then making it cool. 10 years later they can’t afford to live there any more.
Re: What sausages?
Aye, that's happened to all the places I used to live in Edinburgh. Can't afford to move home now

Re: What sausages?
Had the currywurst tonight with some little roast potatoes. They were really nice. Even the wife liked them. We've been married for a good few years and she hasn't enjoyed sausage for a while, so that was nice
Re: What sausages?
OK, stupid question but do these things taste of curry??
Re: What sausages?
Wives or sausages??
Yes. They are a lightly curried sausage.
