Oh, I finished this. S1-4 make DS9 look like a comic book and are very very good and tie together extremely well (due to the whole plot being planned out before filming started, etc - so lots of foreshadowing and the like - the first show to do this an overarching, series long, planned story) but to be fair are less imaginative than DS9 was allowed to be, due to B5 being considerably harder sci-fi than DS9.Beany wrote: Mon Oct 31, 2022 9:56 pm I've restarted Babylon 5 again.

I'd say B5 holds up better, although S5 is rather weak, thanks to the writers being told they were getting killed after S4, so they tied up as much as they could at that point....then they were renewed for a 5th season, which ended up being a bit weak as a result.
I'll probably watch it again in a few years. Can't say the same of DS9. I've still got a sour taste in my mouth over the end of that. Just fucking awful
