You'll be like a four year old on Christmas Eve tonight. I doubt an alarm call will be needed :)

Picking up GT3 tomorrow. Sooooo happy :)

It’s this colour. Even Clarkson liked it.....
Wow! Great purchase. Probably a very rude question, but 70k-ish?

That's a fab purchase, Kin. I remember seeing 996.2 GT3s get down to £35-36k and thinking they were almost getting to the point where I'd buy one. Now I wish I had; a far more desirable car than the 996.1 GT3, IMO.

Nice Kin.

Reminds me that one of the best things I've seen on the roads was when I was on a site visit a few years ago, stood on a splitter island on a d/c roundabout. I heard a racket of something tasty slowing from speed on the roundabout approach so turned around just as someone drifted a 996 GT3 around the roundabout right in front of me. I was laughing my stones off. 8-)

Had a very similar experience with a cossie when they were just released. Was probably only the second time I had seen one on the road. Small roundabout with the corner of a building on tbe exit he took - driver very confident, and clearly skilled. 8-)

I laughed all the way home - it was CAF.

Cheers chaps. Appreciated.

It’s from a private sale so I didn’t have to pay dealer margin. One or two things to be checked out when serviced next spring, but hopefully nothing major.

@Mik, Scott can drive it so he can tell me if I’ve bought a good one or not. :P

@jobbo, yeah they were down to mid 30s then. Shame I didn’t have the money. For a long while I wanted a mk1 Zanzibar (cos it’s beautiful), but the more I looked into it, mk2 is just the better car (stronger engine, gearbox, bigger brakes etc). Harris and Meaden also prefer mk2. Set my heart on Gaurds red mk2 since then.

5:00am start tomorrow :D

I'm going to say he's got an Ultima Can-Am and can claim it's got a Vauxhall engine cos it's a GM LSx in it

The Smart cars cam chain has worn a hole in the block, explaining the oil leak  Some chemical metal has been obtained to fix that, and I'll get a camchain kit for it too. I'll probably need to drop the engine out to do it, so will change the engine mounts cos they're fucked as well.

2SS 1LE. The 2 bit made it quite hard to find as each dealer only gets a limited allocation for each 1LE model and it was towards the end of its life cycle so it was ordered from a random place in Canada. I think this month the factory is being rejigged to produce the facelift version.
How about not having a sig at all?
