Just tried that with 10 or so ads, it’s not like that for me though. It’s still 1 ad per 4-5 followed tweets, and I’m sure the Ladbrokes one keeps repeating even though I’ve told it to piss off. And an example of an ad in an ad - I don’t follow ITV

Whatever, I’ll just use it on PC until Elon ruins that too.

I get a Promoted tweet about every 5/6 tweets. If there’s a thread which separates them a bit more, they can appear every 2/3 tweets afterwards.

Interesting interview with Elon showed up on social media. No idea when it was filmed but talks about having bought Twitter what his plans are. He talks a lot about WeChat and how the Chinese use it for everything eg to pay for things, chat (obvs), work.. a single coms company controlling all that data in the West will probably be worth a lot more than 44bn!
Cheers,

Ian

Yeah, there's been talk of twitter becoming more whatsappy, with encrypted messaging and video calls and the like, which to be fair isn't a bad idea at a high level. Not a $4.20 high level, obviously.

As for ads, I use ublock on the laptop and have PiHole for network level blocking which catches most ads on most things - worth a look if it really annoys you.

I have no ads at all on PC but I'm running adguard so maybe that's actually working.

Sitting on a goldmine there

I don't think they sell for much more than retail TBH but they are near impossible to find at the moment - Pi foundation is restricting supply to commercial/industrial partners at the moment, have been for....a while...

No app, no fees etc

Ads are on my iPhone using the official app, no ads on PC using uBlock Origin.

I'm sure Elon will be happy that we're all blocking ads anyway

So? show me a company that doesn't have old shite like that lying around.

Maybe he should be looking into the suggestions that people in his late night hardcore coding crew felt compelled to be there because they're on work visas and would be deported if they lost their jobs.

Good to see Musk is hiring (interning....) only the very best

The very best at publicly asking someone else to fix a feature for them so they can use it.

Outstanding.

I was told about this by a guy in our office the other day when I mentioned that we were exceeding our 360meg bandwidth (well at least according to Virgin), as I have a Pi2 in the drawer I've never really used I thought i'd give it a whirl. Doesn't seem too difficult to set up and I'll chuck it in the corner of my understairs cupboard on top of the NAS.

Other than Tim and Minchew's appreciation of random milfs my feed was 99% car, sport, comedy and strangely trans supporters (this may just be a general fashion).

Today it's been filled with bikini clad females !

I darent look at my phone infront of the family

The delicious part - Musk is a fan of King.

And King just ignores him.

Broccers says he lives rent free in our heads; Musk paid forty four billion dollars to have King in his
