Restaurant recommendations.
Restaurant recommendations.
I was in Glasgow on Friday and ate in Bucks Bar (Trongate). It was bloody awesome. Large waffle covered in sriracha Macaroni cheese and a couple of butter milk spicy chicken breasts. Everyone's food looked fab and they had some very hot sauces to try.
I'll be going again when I'm back up there.

Aye Buck’s Bar is great. One opened up at the end of my road about 6 months ago. Dangerous

How about not having a sig at all?

It’s just a really good fried chicken shop. We usually get takeaway so we just get sandwiches.

@McSwede I could make loads of Glasgow recommendations, but as I know you like spices :
Mother India at the Lansdowne.

Mother India Cafe has been my fave curry place in Glasgow for years. Fabulous curry tapas so you get 4 or 5 between 2 folks, but they don't take bookings which can be a right PITA and makes larger groups pretty much impossible.
Mother India Lansdowne is a newer site but a basement location just off Great Western Road on the edge of the city centre (at the West side) - you have to know it is there - it doesn't pick up passing hungry browsers.
They started with an Indonesian menu as "something a bit different", but lots of Mother India regulars moaned, so their current menu is a blend of both. It's therefore a bit unique and really fabulous. You have to get the fish pakora.

Could be a good thread to continue countrywide! Staying in Scotland I can highly recommend Ondine in Edinburgh, just off the Royal mile. Their seafood dishes are epic in both size and quality. Not a large place so booking advised.
