Looks like the FTX exchange wallets have been hacked and $600+ million is missing so far. Oopsie.

Looks like this is moving from a simple blow up to massive fraud and theft.
Some pretty spicy stuff flying around.
Apparently the hack is bs as the wallets that were drained were off line in cold storage meaning it had to have been an insider job.
Apparently bigger than the Madoff fraud.

So which exchanges are folks using to buy mockdiamondcoin? I have a zero amount of crypto, but I did open a crypto.com account a while ago #becauseF1, but it's quite unfathomable how to give them money. So there's probably a better way to lose my shirt.

Because I had nothing better to do for half hour, and I like data, I pulled the minute pricing for BTC since Nov 2015 and then blindly invested $50 at midday on the first day of every month since.

$4,150 invested would be approx $31k now, despite all the shenanigans up and down. Granted it was worth $124,000 at one point :D

I was going to say similar but not quite so brutally ;)

Starting Nov 2015 is a cheat, there's over a year of the price not really doing much if you start there.

Based on a fag packet calc, I reckon well over half that $31k is from units bought in the first 12 months. Any time much after that and it's a losing bet.

Well of course it's a cheat, it's just an example that I found interesting for blindly investing some money each month, in something that is so volatile. I half expected to be massively in the hole, not 30k up.

And of course that doesn't account for any trading fees, or the $/£ volatility converting your money back into spendable king's heads.

And how about starting five years ago ? Just for the sake of 5 being a nice number and that period covers plenty of volatility.
