What a terrible choice of vehicle to convert into a camper!! I still like it though!

Reminds me of my dream motorhome - a Bedford Bambi. Stupidly small but very cute.

Oh my - you'd be changing those mattresses and hosing the interior out with bleach before using that, wouldn't you.

I'm looking for a sub £1k runabout for the woods, something which has a towbar or can have one fitted and which has a bit of heft to it.

Didn't realise the price at the low end of the market had gone this crazy - your average £800 pre-covid shed is now worth a few grand. The only car that still seems not too silly would be a Freelander 2 unless anyone can think of anything else?
How about not having a sig at all?

When catalysts on a lot of old shitters are worth £600+ you don’t really see £1k cars any more unless they’ve been cut off.

While looking at x5s there were some lovely looking early v8s around for a couple of grand which looked great value to me.

I think without the beige bits the interior would be quite a bit better, if still a not ideal shade of brown :D

The exterior looks like an 80's tv that needs tuning

I'd like that more if the camper box wasn't so lumpy. Not a bad layout for a small camper though.

I have much want for a Sambar;

My preference would be for the electric moonroof, but a pop-top isn't unappealing;

Love the concept, hate the execution.

How would you do it? I think if I had one as a blank canvas I'd have a 'mare deciding how to do it :lol: :oops:
After the last couple of posts it would probably have to be something like this; https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/thr ... d.1246221/

I don’t like the shiny fake patina at all. Needs to be crusty and original with skilfully blended in repairs where needed, or painted properly.
