Again, it's another embarrassing mess. I still don't get the idea that it's ok to force MPs to vote against their constituents wishes under the threat of being thrown out.

I understand the idea of whipping the party on votes of national policy but trying to force through a vote for fracking which is notoriously divisive and goes against their manifesto promises was pretty daft. Not an unusual state for this government admittedly.

How does that happen though?

Wouldn't it need a VoNC in the Gov't, which would mean Con MPs voting against their own Gov't (not impossible at the moment!). Unless there's another way.
