Mercedes-Benz & Porsche Museum visits - Stuttgart

Post by Barry »

Coaster and I just got back from a very interesting road trip to Stuttgart and the'Ring, in his GT3. First up was a day at the MB museum which is highly recommended if you're remotely interested in motoring history. The following day was the Porsche Museum, a smaller affair and less in depth but walking through the lineage of the 911 is still worth seeing.

I can't upload to OV9 as the file sizes are too large and I'll be fked if I'm going through 90pics now, so I'll attempt to link to my GooglePhotos albums:

MB album link:

Hope that works, my trust in sharing links is low at the best of times..

Good pics, but it's the 'ring photos I'm most interested in! :)

Brilliant pics, thanks for sharing them. Loving the older cars in both of them a lot.
Cheers,

Mike.

Cracking pics, Baz. Can't wait to go there next year.
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

Wot, no 968 in the Porsche Museum? I'm either disappointed in Porsche, or I'm disappointed that you didn't take a picture, Barry

Been to the Porsche museum a few times and it always has amazing cars on display. Think the Merc museum is my favourite car museum I've visited in Germany. Though a special mention has to be given to the Unimog museum in Gaggenau, which is pretty much on the way to Stuttgart 👍

I shot pretty much every damn car in there Marv, there wasn't a 968 of any kind that I recall. A single 944/928. Presumably they rotate some display cars over time, as I can't imagine there isn't one in there somewhere.

Looks good indeed. 8-)

And @Marv - maybe they have decided that one 944 is enough, and they don’t need to display an S1, an S2 and an S3? :geek:
