Cant advise on who to use in your area, but it is witchcraft - very impressive if you get the chance to watch them.
My impression is that they need pics so they can see if there are any nasty creases that might be difficult to push out without the paint cracking.
The guy I used on the VXR8 reckoned more than 50% of his work was for car dealers. He also gave me a scarey percentage of time spent removing dents from brand new cars before their owners collected them - he was working on a 911 a couple of weeks before he came to me whilst the excited new owner was sat in the showroom being fobbed off with yet another coffee.....
It is witchcraft. I've used a couple of them who were recommended by a mate with a used car garage. If you know anyone in the trade it may be worth asking do they have a one who comes around regularly, if they are there it will work out cheaper.
Have a look at 1st Track Dents on the Ewe Tube, it's unbelievable some of the stuff he gets out
Yes witchcraft and amazing what they can actually do. the wind blew a bin into our A4 Avant (long time ago) fairly sizeable dent. Completely gone. Had them do a couple of dents on the 240 as well - as above witchcraft. The boy ive used a few times has been doing it for years. It took him about 10 mins on the 240 the last time. That's what you are paying for.
From what I’ve read elsewhere there’s usually an initial callout charge then a time based charge for any extras.
Saying that, I’ve never had it done because no one has either been interested or has quoted a daft amount. Annoying as there’s a few on a few of our cars I’d like done.
I'm not surprised they want to quote from photos, the travel time taken to drive out to every time waster who doesn't bother actually going through with it would be astronomical.
Only used one once and that was on the Superb. Many wouldn't touch it off the basis of what they saw in photos as it was a tricky spot near the bottom of the rear arch/door area. The one we used "had a go". It looks a lot better, but it's far from perfect. And where the door skin was creased by the internal crash structure you can see where it's been tapped out when you get up close.
So I was both happy that it doesn't look anything like as bad, but also a bit disappointed that it wasn't quite the witchcraft I was hoping for. I guess there's a limit to what can be done though.
ETA - it was similar to Sreten's B7 - I notice his guy drilled a hole though whereas ours didn't and just used sticky pads and a slide hammer.
