If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

I asked the wife if she wanted to go, but she wasn't interested!Jimmy Choo wrote: Mon Oct 03, 2022 2:38 pm I'm guessing that you're taking the 928 and not the wife! Sounds like a fun time. Koblenz was lovely when i visited in.....erm....1988?
Definitely taking the 928 - it'll be nice to use it for its intended purpose of continental grand touring.

Was just at the Porsche museum yesterday, it's cool. Mercedes Benz is more in depth, both good though.
We've just finished a day at the 'Ring, heading back tmrw. All done in Coasters GT3

I thought the intended purpose of any 928 was to consume all the owner's money?Delphi wrote: Mon Oct 03, 2022 2:58 pm Definitely taking the 928 - it'll be nice to use it for its intended purpose of continental grand touring.

Half day from Koblenz to Rotterdam (unless you get lost in Koblenz, which I have 3 from 3 trips) leaves a nice gap for a few laps of the Ring.

Re: Road Trip!!
Sounds like fun.
FWIW I always found the PCGB guys in the 944 section were very friendly/helpful/knowledgeable, but I have heard similar comparisons with TIPEC from others......

I think it varies from region to region, but all the guys I've spoken to about the Yorkshire region (not just TIPEC members) have said that the local PCGB lot are your stereotypical all for show types who turn their noses up at anything that isn't a 911. Met a guy in my local sandwich shop the other day with a 996 C4 Cab and he was only in PCGB for the fuel discount they get. He went to a couple of local meets and he said it was full of braying "considerably richer than you" types.mik wrote: Tue Oct 04, 2022 12:14 pm Sounds like fun.![]()
