BMW XM

Post by Ascender »

So....

WTAF?

150K, bespoke model , relatively low on horsepower but its hybrid so the electric motor produces 194bhp on its own and is a bit of a hybrid of the X5 and X7 (which I'd forgotten was even a thing) all in a sprightly package coming in at 2710kg?!

This backend seems to suggest the new design language we've seen in the new M2 which has been universally panned for being pug ugly.

Again, WTAF?

Yeah they seem to be a bit out of touch with reality recently.

I trust it has two rear windscreens like the original XM. Would go some way to explaining the weight.

I'd like to see PSA Group take action against them for the XM moniker!

Then Intel can get after them for MX (that's a reference for the teenagers).

They had the same issue with the MX5 which had to be the X5M in the end.

Feels a bit cheeky with BMW calling this the first ground up M car since the M1. It's all marketing bollocks isn't it? At the end of the day the price for these SUVs has gone so silly that they no longer need to produce a non M version, the poor people can buy a X5M and the destitute can buy a X3M.
Same old CLAR chassis with a non M V8.

Ground up M my arse.
How about not having a sig at all?
