evo fashionistas assemble... what colour M3 Touring?

Post by Ascender »

Been a bit of a mad morning, but the initial order is now done (BMW visualiser thingy) but I'm still not sure on the colour.

I can change it up to the point of confirmed build date, but I suspect that way lies madness so am wanting to finalise it before then. I've always liked estates in dark blue as they are quite subtle and always look good regardless of changes in design/fashion. The car is hopefully going to be a keeper, so am wary of how the colour will age.

You can get the roof in black or body colour, but I think it looks better with a body-colour roof unless you go for a silver/grey car to get the contrast.

Current colour

Frozen Grey

Duck-Egg or Something

The colour visualiser thing is here if you're really bored/want to be helpful/want to make things more complicated for me.
Cheers,

Mike.

Current Colour is best - and don't do a Black roof - it'll look a bit wannabee carbon roof tragic

Velvet looks good as does frozen grey, how good are you at keeping your car spotless though?

Yip, I had that thought. There's no carbon roof on these, apparently a cost issue due to the size... but also no panoramic option.
Cheers,

Mike.

I'll try my best... But there will be dogs, horse feed and possibly bales of straw in the boot.

Only thing putting me off silver/grey is that stone chips etc always show up more although I'll get it ceramic coated or whatever it is these days.
Cheers,

Mike.

Can't get brown leather on the carbon buckets. Which having sat in, I am now sold on. They're incredibly comfortable.

Mike.

Pity that - I'm partial to a Pano Sunroof...

Another vote for Velvet.

I like both the velvets but hard to say without seeing in person.
How about not having a sig at all?

Duck egg looks awesome with contrasting black wheels and roof.

Frozen grey will go out of fashion quickest.

Current colour is classic and probably best for a keeper.

Aye, I like the Duck Egg. I find that dark colours mask the details on the newer M cars.

Yes, lighter colours seem to work very well on the current M range as you get the contrast with the black details.

A lot of their colours also seem to look very different depending on time of day and lighting.

Duck Egg with black wheels and roof does look very nice...

Daytona. Looks amazing, while Velvet Blue looks like a last generation colour.
