1. I always fill the water to below the fill mark. The sauce is richer, like sauce you get in a Michelin-starred restaurant.

2. I always fill the water exactly to the fill mark. Unilever didn't spend £billions on research to define the fill level for nothing.

How do you pot noodle?

Post by mik »

Every so often I get a hankering for a pot noodle. Other noodle snacks are available. I reckon I probably eat 10 a year. Look, I'm in control of this!

But jeezus you can't use the fill-mark on the tub or you ruin it. :?

Haven't had one in years. I sometimes opt for the packets of Asian noodles(Mama, etc...) as they're tasty and spicy 😁

Naked noodles are far superior, great taste and half the calories of a pot noodle

I use the fill line as an approximate aiming point. If it's less once the bubbles have finished rising from the depths, that's fine. If it's more, that's more soupy goodness.

They're an occasional junk food craving like Angel Delight.

I’ve not had an actual pot noodle for years, but so enjoy the occasional naked noodle pot if I’m peckish after a late shift, especially the firecracker chicken. Fill just a tad over the fill line. Mix, leave 2 mins, stir, leave another couple of minutes. Eat.

They make a handy post pub snack, but that's still a rare event. I tend to fill just under the mark, figuring it's easier to top up than remove some. I hate sloppy.

Also, only buy when The Asda discounts them to 50p. Ripoff at RRP.

I get Shin ramen noodles instead, because they're better.

Asda usually have these in the 'import corner' and they're pretty nice, too.

The soup bowl ones are also worth a look

My son eats a few of these noodle pots as in-between meal snacks and occasionally I'll pinch a Bombay Bad Boy.

Slightly underfilled for a thick sauce and don't forget the spicy sachet.

If you spill some on your clothes there's no denying you've had one, takes about 3 washes to get out😂

Eat noodles dry.
Down mug of boiling water.
Snort flavour sachet.

Altogether a more interesting experience.

Eating noodles dry just brings back nightmares from school after the kettle was confiscated.
