Phones BC and was on hold - they do ring you back in ...... 2 hours.

Got phone call.... had to reorder the tyres.

Rating of BC - poor.
Have you tried Costco? They always have a special offer on one of the brands they do. Last month it was Goodyear, now its Michelin. Cheaper than other places I find.

Used them and the garage many many times and haven't had one issue so maybe a one off.

Thanks for the tip on costco - will look next time.

After being faultless for 6 months and 4000 miles my daughter's Mito Twinair sprung a slight coolant leak just before it's MOT is due.

I don't have the time to get my hands dirty so dropped it to a mates garage for a service, rad and MOT. Nigh on a grand !

Now it's misfiring and he thinks the Multiair unit has failed after the oil change FFS

Being a Fiat, I assume it involved moving the engine 4" to the left ?

Missfiring after a service? 🤔🤔

I hadn’t even realised the twinair used multiair, certainly failures of the unit seem few and far between.

It's someone I trust and have used for 30 years so have no reason to question his work.

He did mention the car had misfire codes stored when he plugged it in for the service and has changed the plugs and tried a different coil but the same cylinder is playing up !

I've had a quick search and it seems the unit has been known to fail after an oil change if on its way out.

Reordered tyres for delivery today

Fitting Saturday

Thought I would put in a call this time - guy at garage says no fella they arent here I made a note to ring you when they turned up.

BC rang back in 40 mins (progress) and tells me they have been delivered - says he will check and get back to me.

They emailed to say they havent been delivered and will get some out for fitting Tuesday,

20 pounds compensation offered.

Bit of a farce really.

Starter motor on the TT has gone.

Occupancy sensor on the ML has gone.

Waiting on a brake part for the Defender.

Defender is blocking in the 500e which is waiting for a diff breather.

My Bike is working well though, which is nice.

Dave!

These things always look worse close up, but probably time for a new set of tyres. Hoping Costco have a deal on CrossClimate 2s.

Defender passed its MOT. Was advised to not use the side steps as they are pretty heavily corroded and close to snapping off so I guess that’s something to replace over winter  Also needs some rear pads.

Ewww. How old are they ? I'm sure I remember you buying them in the first place, and it doesn't seem long ago, but my memory is borked so it could easily be 5+ years.

On the way to a weekend's camping the Galaxy overheated again after creeping along for about 20 mins. Quickly pulled in and was about to do a swap while cursing the failure of a brand new unit, when I noticed the mechanic hadn't fully seated the connector, hence the fans not kicking in. Had been almost directly onto the motorway so the wind would have kept temps down. Once properly connected everything sprang back into life. Also noticed a significant difference in the power of the AC, so if nothing else that's a warning sign to look out for.

I bought them at the end of 2015. I ran them for a bit then put my old summer tyres on, as they had some tread left when I bought these CrossClimates, so I kept hold of them. Then a year later swapped back onto these and stayed on them ever since. So I reckon they've done about 30k miles.

New set of CC 2s being fitted in a couple of weeks. £60 off from Costco for getting a set of 4, so that's a tad over £500 fitted. Only 17" size so not the full £100 discount.

I can't get my head around how these chunky tyres last so long.

I've had a few sets of Nokian winter tyres and they were only ever replaced due to cracking rather than wear !

The ones on my Yeti had circa 5mm of tread after 30k+ miles.

That's a relief, well done for fixing it under pressure!

I've started so I'll finish this boredom.

Garage phoned this am to say my tyres are there and he can squeeze me in.

Shortly after email from BC confirming set 3 will be there Tuesday for fitting on Tuesday.

I have the tyres fitted now.

One dash cam down, two to go. Installation in the M2 was pretty simple as there's a 12v socket underneath the glovebox. Fishing the cable was even nice and easy after some very traumatic stereo installs in Porsches in recent years.
Cheers,

Mike.

That’s what we have on the wife’s MINI. She’s been happy with them.
Glad to hear - reviews seem a bit mixed but then for the money you cant moan too much.
They're actually really good for the money. Not tried the wet tho but really grippy on dry roads.
