My home insurance from Halifax has gone from £348 to £536 with No Claims last year.

Re: Home Insurance
Mine went up about a £100 as well, i did shop around and couldn't get the same cover for less
Re: Home Insurance
I've just done Go Compare and the same policy with the same supplier is £330.
On the phone with them now
Edit - retrieved my quotes and now it's £418
- still £118 cheaper than the renewal

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Home Insurance
Spoke to an agent - they "Looked into it" and offered £430
Still up £100 but that seems typical at the moment.

Re: Home Insurance
Surely they're breaking the law then? They must offer you the same price or better than a new customer for the same insurance policy.

Re: Home Insurance
The claim was I received a "discount" for year 1 but no-one mentioned anything about a year 1 discount 12 months ago.
Why £536 was reduced to £430 in 30 seconds flat for the exact same cover is another question. It's the way these places work I suppose.

Re: Home Insurance
I'd have just bought the new policy from go compare and cancelled the old one

Re: Home Insurance
Yeah but that takes effort… and thought and #BecauseDinny = #BoneIdleLazy…
Re: Home Insurance
Home insurance and car insurance were flat for me this year, luckily. Thinking of knocking the pet insurance on the head though.
