It just cannot fathom how someone can afford an Elise and do trackdays in it but can’t afford a better tow car than a knackered micra with bald tyres. Just does not compute in my head.

I also have no idea how they manage to load / unload it, the trailer doesn’t look big enough to carry ramps long enough to get anywhere near the entry angle an Elise would need :?

it's pretty bad when the cost of the tow ball is more than the car.

It may be a tilt bed trailer similar to these:
https://www.iwt.co.uk/products/tiltbed/tb-tiltbed/

I generally don't like flat trailers though as they're a jack of all trades type deal - yes you can load any vehicle or plant machinery on it but you really want loads of tie down points for cars and machinery which these don't have and you really want a heavy duty siding for plant staff so it survives being crashed into which these don't have. And actually tilting them each time is a faff as is driving something onto a tilted bed.
How about not having a sig at all?

Flat trailers the width of the car are great to tow with when space can be an issue, although they do leave the car higher which if you’re towing with say a Micro may make it a bit unstable
