Re: The ebay thread
There is (was?) a SmartGrass with glass roof round these parts, but I don't know the reg or where it lives to see if it's still here.

I saw an easi-grass one in the way in today. It's a pretty "done" concept isn't it!

Re: The ebay thread
I've been looking at Citroen CX Loadrunners. Because, why wouldn't you? I mean, look at it!

I found one on eBay (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284899405083 ... SwPwRi01OR) that's being sold by a dealer, but I'm guessing he doesn't really want to sell it, or if he does, he's counting on its rarity trumping the fact that he's not bothered to wash it. Or even clean all of the old toot out of the back of it. There might even be a family of rats living in it.

I really want to like that but I can't. The Citroen bit is ace, but the back is too much old Bedford van.

I never knew there was such a thing, and I’ve never wanted a Citroen, but I like it. It’s very cool in a retro-futuristic way.Ascender wrote: Mon Aug 15, 2022 9:09 am I've been looking at Citroen CX Loadrunners. Because, why wouldn't you? I mean, look at it!

Alex - the 4-door version breaks up the van-ness a bit.

Re: The ebay thread
Apparently they were designed to transport newspapers across France overnight from the printing presses in bulk and at speed.

I saw an Ambulance version parked up recently - like this one.

But yeah - CX in general are cool items. And really compact by todays standards.

Imagine that you've seen a loadrunner, taken a shitload of coke and said "hold my beer!"
Gentlemen, I give you the 11 wheeled, double 5.7l chevy engined, Citroen parts bin special called the DS Centipede!

Other than the silver one at the start they all look like hideous homebrew lashups

The irony being it wasn't made by Citroenintegrale_evo wrote: Mon Aug 15, 2022 12:45 pm Other than the silver one at the start they all look like hideous homebrew lashups![]()

Of course, if you're going to drive something a bit different, you might as well tow something a bit different;
