Why has the address bar in Safari moved to the (feckin) bottom of the screen?

You can change that in settings

This is something which I recall annoying me when iOS15 came out (last year?) so I selected the option to have it at the top again and had forgotten about it.

Have you not updated your iPhone since 2021?

Good news people - I have changed it in settings. Rejoice rejoice huzzah etc.

No idea why mine was at the top on previous iOS 15 versions, but hey <shrugs>.

Not being averse to change and set in my old ways I left it at the bottom for a week to show how it was and ended up preferring it as with these bigger screens it allows far more one handed browsing without resorting to finger yoga

I hated the idea, but when using the phone one-handed its so much easier to type a URL/search given how big the screens are these days.
