Re: Slippers
I have central heating - why would I want my feet to be hotter than the rest of my body?
Re: Slippers
This. Though when I was in Wales in February, in a house up a hill with stone floors, I could see why somebody might want them.integrale_evo wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 1:16 am I do not own any slippers.
Socks in the house, shoes outside.
Re: Slippers
I am also socks / bare feet in the house. Use crocs to go outside to sort dogs/ducks/bins etc.
Slippers don’t offend me but pairs that have been gifted don’t get worn.
Mrs mik loves hers though.

Finally a thread for my elderly self. Got trench foot back in the day doing silly mountain things so my feet get hella cold. Got these at the moment, they're really good in the warm and the cold - https://www.glerups.com/
Re: Slippers
Never seen the point of slippers tbh, I just put my gym trainers on if I have to go out and can't be bothered getting dressed.

Slippers > crocs.
Wear crocs, surrender your dignity. The holes are there to help let it out

Re: Slippers
I’m a bare feet kinda guy.
Socks only after my first journey out the house which necessitate them and at that point I’m too lazy to take them off until I shower.
Slippers reserved for the beast from the east type winter apocalypses only.

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Slippers
My wife bought me some crocs when I needed new slippers a couple of Christmases ago. Sorry, I really don't get the hype about them. They are bordering on uncomfortable, pretty unattractive and not very practical.
Then again, I don't wear socks at all until I need to. Never wear them at home. Nor does my son. As soon as he comes in he takes off his shoes and socks. Bare feet for the win, including putting the bins out or going down the garden to get the cat back in.

I have house shoes, instead of slippers. Mainly as a preventative piece of foot/leg health, I wear a pair of Asics Gel Kayano knit trainers which are only for indoor use. They're warm, comfortable and very supportive, great for being in the kitchen or doing housework.
Re: Slippers
I've got some sheepskin slippers and they are great, really soft. Don't find my feet sweat in them when it's hot, but keep them warmer when it's cold. I can't get on board with crocs, they look horrendous.
