Dogs are awesome. Remember to set boundaries and stick to them- make sure both of you do too. Mine won’t go anywhere near the kitchen when I’m home, even if I’m nowhere in sight. When I’m out and only the wife is in they’ll steal all sorts off the worktops because my mrs. let’s them in there and they push the boundary and take the piss.

Oh, and don't teach them they get a treat for cuteness; I've had random dogs come up to me, do a good sit or the like, and then look at me demandingly for a treat.
