I made the same mistake yesterday - black vinyl seats in the Galaxie, parked in the sun while I went into Sainsbury’s. I forget every sodding time.
Re: The Weather Thread.
I've parked 'against the sun' this time, might help tomorrow...

Re: The Weather Thread.
Was speaking to an Aussie lady by the pool today and we got on to weather. She'd been enough times to the UK to know to be sympathetic about it in the heat.
Mind, it's not been as cool today here as expected. Humidity has actually been high at near 30% vs 15% in the UK - same temps as back in Altrincham. It was not the day to try walking across most of the city to see some fucking fish before then sitting on an open top bus on the way back...

Re: The Weather Thread.
KType thermocouple of my meter says my office is 28deg.
31 outside in the sun, shaded by my shadow.
Ugh. And it's not even midday.

Re: The Weather Thread.
I had to turn the AC off in the office, my head was getting cold!
Re: The Weather Thread.
I am keeping my head cold with a damp towel, it works surprisingly well.
I think I might decamp downstairs though. Getting a bit silly up here.

It’s 38 here already.
I’m trying the Ice Water in front of the fan today. It’s worth doing but it’s still bloody hot

The joys of having a hybrid means I can pre-cool my car before I get in it. What a delight!!Beany wrote: Mon Jul 18, 2022 8:15 pm I've parked 'against the sun' this time, might help tomorrow...

My colleague must have been the only person in the UK shivering last night - his on call room was air conditioned down to 18 deg!

Re: The Weather Thread.
Bit more of a breeze here today, doesn’t feel as hot as yesterday. Not looking forward to sleeping tonight. Was still 31c and 33% humidity in the bedroom at 2am last night.
Feels a little bit early to crack on with some nice cold beers

Anyone else considered moving their freezer to a doorway and rigging up a fan and some ducting for a Heath Robinson American style ‘window’ mount AC unit?

Tried this with a fridge in our old workplace in a room that always got silly hot in summer. Fridge couldn't handle it and cut out.integrale_evo wrote: Tue Jul 19, 2022 12:09 pm Anyone else considered moving their freezer to a doorway and rigging up a fan and some ducting for a Heath Robinson American style ‘window’ mount AC unit?![]()
Also the fridge was for insulin so people were cross.

There's one on our fridge and I swear, it winked at me earlier...integrale_evo wrote: Tue Jul 19, 2022 12:04 pm Feels a little bit early to crack on with some nice cold beers![]()
