Re: New coke lid
When I was living in Colombia I had a daily coke habit.
They sold little stubby coke cans, the same diameter as our 330ml cans but probably about 250ml. It became impossible not to smash one every day.

Pretty much summed up your own thread ladZedLeg wrote: Tue Jun 14, 2022 8:28 am It’s not a question, just a tedious thought from a tedious man.

Re: New coke lid
Very true. There were lots of Americans out there living the rock'n'roll lifestyle on Wetherspoons money. Women, drugs, pool parties and penthouse apartments for less than the cost of a bedsit eating on food stamps in NYC.
Re: New coke lid
Aye I know a guy who developed a pretty strong coke habit while bouncing between columbia and other South American countries for a year. Was fine while he was there, not so much when he had to go home.

Not only is he correct but he supports a more recyclable product, shame on the plastic bottle drinkers.duncs500 wrote: Mon Jun 13, 2022 9:15 pmJobbo is correct.Jobbo wrote: Mon Jun 13, 2022 5:55 pmDon't drink it out of plastic bottles, it tastes much nicer out of cans or glass bottles. It’s just irritating. Full fat coke is basically my last vice and I don’t take well to any changes
You really need to cut it off @Broccers trying to pull it off put way more force through an open full bottle than I was comfortable with.

Funny thing is that I am almost exactly 18 stone, but I'm 6'4" and big built. So it's a little heavier than I'd like to be but by no means obese.

All valid points tbf. Glass bottles are also a pain as I have to walk for five minutes to recycle themV8Granite wrote: Tue Jun 14, 2022 11:45 amNot only is he correct but he supports a more recyclable product, shame on the plastic bottle drinkers.

Cans then - I never drink 1.5l/2l in a day and don't want to drink flat Coke, so generally buy 24 packs. It's pricier per litre than bottles (https://www.iceland.co.uk/p/coca-cola-o ... ml#start=1 v https://www.iceland.co.uk/p/coca-cola-o ... ml#start=1 ) but there's no waste so probably isn't actually more expensive.ZedLeg wrote: Tue Jun 14, 2022 11:54 amAll valid points tbf. I'm the same height, but a good 3+ stone down on you. I'm feeling positively svelte!ZedLeg wrote: Tue Jun 14, 2022 11:52 am Funny thing is that I am almost exactly 18 stone, but I'm 6'4" and big built. So it's a little heavier than I'd like to be but by no means obese.

This has triggered the same reaction here as when we took the kids ten pin bowling earlier in the week and the pins were all attached to the magic pin-setting-up-machine by rope.
Cheers,
