
The game was over. The championship has been cancelled due to shortage of numbers and catastrophic mismanagement (some might say deliberate) by the club.
In truth, I was probably coming towards the end anyway. The last two races with the national boys served as a strong reminder that you really need to be a 17 year old psychopath with a rich daddy to truly excel in this discipline.
We've done alright over the years, and two second places in the Scottish championship in 2019 and 2021 show we did a decent job of taking the fight to the professional teams. Not bad for a couple of idiots and a battered old toolbox

New challenges await in the form of Minis, and who knows what else (the laws of physics do not allow garage spaces to remain empty for long).
On the plus side, I now also have a pocket full of money. But as the saying goes, racecars get you through the times of no money better than money gets you through the times of no racecars
