Oooh. That raises the bar. I’d never considered it but a leftover curry sandwich sounds flippin’ fantastic 8-)

I have never eaten leftover takeaway's of any description. Not cold or re-heated Pizza, not re-heated Indian or Chinese takeaway the following day etc. NEVER...

Whatever is not eaten on the night is binned. I realise I'm in the wrong with this but I just can't do it.

WTF Dinny? Curry in particular is always, without fail, better the second time after a re-heat.
I know it's wrong, believe me.

But Curry, Chinese, Thai almost always include chicken and I just don't trust re-heating chicken. I've no issue with beef based means - I regularly batch cook Chilli's, Pasta Sauces etc and freeze them. But I won't re-heat Chicken.

cold Day old Pizza can get to fuck though - congealed cheese... barf...

You’re more likely to kill yourself with improperly cooled and reheated rice than chicken 😉

You don’t trust chicken ? Wow.

We had Chinese takeaway on Saturday as it happens. There’s still some left. I’m going to have it tonight. One of the dishes is squid. How do you feel about 2 day old squid ? 8-) I might even eat it cold just to prove a point…

I have, many a time. Perhaps the parmos are bigger where you're from :D
If your parmo doesn’t fill a 10” pizza box then it’s not a full parmo

Nothing wrong with reheating chicken. As long as you reheat it properly it will be fine. If it didn't kill you first time around, it probably won't hte second.

Rice I never risk though as that stuff has a high risk of being lethal

Anyone else finished a half-eaten large doner the next day? Especially one which has been used briefly as an ashtray? Just me…?

Living proof here that you can reheat rice up to 3 days in a row without dying 😂
How about not having a sig at all?

I reheat takeaway rice frequently or home made risotto, etc. Never had an issue or realised there could be one TBH 🤯

The only people who have issues are those who never challenge their bodies. Those people probably don't even have a 5 second rule for food that lands on the floor.

It's not the reheating of rice that's the issue. It's the cooling of it after the first cook. So for microwave meals such as curries they have to blast chill it after cooking.

Yeah, rice left at room temp has a really high chance of growing bacillus bacteria that you have to get to really high temp to kill off. If you mess it up there’s a good chance you’ll shit yourself to death.

At the risk of jinxing myself with pretty grim consequences, I've never taken much care of how I cool rice and I've reheated a lot of it.

The only time one has shat oneself as an adult has been when one has been a little too bold whilst trumping 😂

I shall treat rice with a little more caution.

We often reheat rice, just make sure it is proper hot. No accidents so far!

Not had a PJs or Domino's in years. We've got a local pizza place that the kids love. I'm thinking we need to find somewhere else though. The barbeque sauce they use is sickly sweet, and when we tried the anchovy pizza it was so salty it was inedible.

Only tried Pizza Hut once, but that was enough. It was so oily it was swimming in the pan. Yech.

So have I tbh , it’s a big food safety no no though. Also more likely to give you food poisoning than reheating chicken that’s already been cooked through. Which was my original point.

I once ate some leftover curry house takeaway with rice six days after we got the takeaway delivered and promptly evacuated the whole lot an hour later when I got to the pub. That definitely created a boundary for me. I’m pretty laissez faire about this stuff and am currently doing a series on TikTok where I eat food past it’s use by date to help teach people who to use smell and sight to check food rather than just binning it because of the use by/best before date. Loads of people are too cautious, especially when it comes to stuff like yoghurt. I recently ate an egg that was 70 days past it’s best before date.

Back on the subject of pizza I ducking love a BBQ sauce base chicken pizza with stuffed crust. Demolished a PJ one about 10 days ago. Bliss.
