Chain Pizza Heaven
I've been meaning to take a pic of this for ages. Wokingham. All three major pizza chains together. Gavster tells me that even in London this doesn't happen.
Re: Chain Pizza Heaven
That’ll take some topping.

Fat Toni’s FTW
Re: Chain Pizza Heaven
I’ve still not tried them - are they that good?
Re: Chain Pizza Heaven
Does anyone still go to pizza hut? I haven’t had one for years as the last one I got was rank.
An absolute unit
Re: Chain Pizza Heaven
Depends how you like your pizza, they’re more authentic Italian than Dominos etc.
Just looked at their site, I’d assumed they were a big chain but they’re only Gloucestershire based.

For the money, when the kids got cheap deals, they were mediocre at best.
We have a local Italian run Pizza shop that is loads better and cheaper than any of the chain Pizza brands, even counting the discount deals that are always in.

Guess they all want a slice of the action...Sundayjumper wrote: Sat May 21, 2022 10:01 pm I've been meaning to take a pic of this for ages. Wokingham. All three major pizza chains together. Gavster tells me that even in London this doesn't happen.

Re: Chain Pizza Heaven
We tried to go to one on holiday last year, simply because it was next to the cinema we’d just been to. They told us it would be over an hour’s wait. They didn’t even look busy. We went to BK and got served immediately.ZedLeg wrote: Sun May 22, 2022 9:34 am Does anyone still go to pizza hut? I haven’t had one for years as the last one I got was rank.

I knew they had one in Stroud and had opened a replacement for the Kings Square one in Quedgeley but didn't know about the one in Cheltenham. I've also just discovered that there's a Simpsons chippy in Quedgeley. I've been to the one in Cheltenham but it's in a shithole area.240PP wrote: Sun May 22, 2022 9:51 amDepends how you like your pizza, they’re more authentic Italian than Dominos etc.

Re: Chain Pizza Heaven
Noticed that when I was last in Wokingham. I treated the kids to a Domino’s of the theee, iirc, sat in the back of the Yeti. Well, whichever one it was that had the easiest app to use for a walk-in order (was Covid time so app orders only).
Don’t think Pizza Hit is too bad. Pizza Express though, so overpriced, unless you use an offer.

I went to a Pizza Hut for the first time in about 20 years the other day with kid and friends for a buffet lunch after the cinema. It was better than I remember, but I wouldn't choose to go there for anything but kids meal out.
Re: Chain Pizza Heaven
The best Pizza Hut is the takeaway one by Leicester Square Odeon. Just tastes better but it’s a rip off now. About 8 years ago a slice of pizza and a coke was 90p and it was always open until the early morning.
How about not having a sig at all?

Re: Chain Pizza Heaven
All three fall into the category of dirty pizza which always has it’s place in a balanced diet.
Gavster’s first law of pizza is the inverse relationship between pizza quality when hot vs when cold. A greasy dirty minger of a pizza will be banging the next morning. OTOH an artisanal stone baked Neapolitan margarita made with the finest Mozarella di bufala will be like heaven when bubbling hot out the oven, but taste like cardboard after a night in the fridge.
