Took the 6 series to my tuna this morning to get his opinion on it. In typical fashion it didn’t leak coolant at all so I drove it for another 30 mins and it still didn’t leak any coolant.

Had some time to give the Defender it’s first wash of the year and I polished the wings on it as I’ve spent a year driving it at trees. Touched up the Dinitrol on the chassis and it’s all minty fresh again

I did also get to laugh at my dad who was randomly on about “not paying that thieving South African a penny” - turns out the upper ball joint on the model 3 uses the wrong kind of grease so it all settles in the rubber boot and the ball joint gets dry which makes it squeak loudly. In North America this is a free fix regardless of mileage or age but in the UK they will charge their regular fee (which they said they can’t give a quote until they have the car) because the car has just gone above 50,000 miles which is out of warranty.
So he’s just injecting it with grease

But hey so far it’s not made a squeak.
How about not having a sig at all?

Or maybe the opposite.... ??

This one is overpriced but it's totally my spec and unusually low mileage for this kind of thing:

Sounds like a good (devious?) plan. I've no idea what they go for, how much over is that one? You'd still have something to play with on it, tidying the middle row seats.

why would you trailer a Fabia? Is it particularly harsh to drive?

The trailer's going there anyway, why use two lots of fuel?

A couple of reasons
- we’re going a bit further away (Kemble) so a touch more comfort there and back and handy in case we have any kind of failure.
- gives @Sundayjumper a chance to assess the van’s towing abilities.

If you compete in a car and break it, how else do you get home?

Yes, it is actually ! It's quite extensively modified & set up for competition.

And as Jon says, it gives you some peace of mind about getting home again, which lets you push it a little harder during the event.

Evora’s TPMS showed a 3psi drop on the left rear mid-week. Pumped that jam back up, but it was exactly identical on Friday. Hmm.

Spotted the culprit, so it was time to break out the TyrePlugSysteme3000 on Saturday.

Such a doddle. 8-) Screw came out cleanly with a posidrive head driver, dropped the pressure to about 10psi in order to maintain sufficient structure for pokey-saw-saw, followed by gloopy-stick and PULL.

The longest part of the process was due to a nob called mik insisting that he use the (dual cylinder) foot pump to reinflate it. A 285/30/20 may well be low profiles, but it takes quite a lot of air - like over 700 pumps - the clip popped off the tyre valve as I finished and was red hot*. I think something may have melted inside it. Bollox.

* possible artistic licence.

I know people on here swear by it, but these always seem like a realy bodge and I've still never really been convinced enough to trust it.
