She deliberately drove into people so that seems fair. Odds on her getting picked up for driving on a ban in a few months?

She did also tell them to move.

So? You don't get to assault someone just because you warned them you were going to do it first.

I wonder how much it would take for one of us to also attempt the same thing? I think she has a pretty low threshold for tolerance (I think she had to get her son to school, get back home to run her own business and doesn't appear to be on the bread line, although appearances could be deceptive) to do a Michael Douglas but if you'd been taking say a very sick relative to hospital would you feel justified in using her tactics?

This is wrong thinking. You are paying (600 quid a year?) road fund licence to drive along a road. Its not a park bench.

Again, it doesn't give you the right to run someone over.

I'd not just attempt it I would actually run them over. If that means time in prison so be it. Honestly the world has gone crackers pandering to these idiots. By all means protest but don't do it in a way that costs other people time / money / increased stress.

Using your car as a weapon is always going to place you in a difficult situation…

But these wankers shouldn’t be able to block roads either. If it’s OK for them to do so, it should be OK for Joe public to carry some big cable ties and move them to a safer protesting position.

Exactly, I find the XR and XR related protests to be pretty counter productive as they only gain negative press but if your response to being mildly inconvenienced by someone is to hit them with your car you probably shouldn't be driving imo.

I think it’s a fair ban as it wouldn’t take much to really hurt someone, whether they meant to or not.

The people putting themselves in that situation need shooting though, right in the arse.

So instead of mowing them down get out a gun and shoot them. This works too although they would still need running over as well 😀

Not necessarily shoot them dead, that would all depend on the angle.

I agree with Mik and the Bear although I'd like to see measures introduced to prevent this type of protest, possibly some sort of jaywalking equivalent for the UK. That person may lose their livelihood or be unable to provide care for family as a result of someone else being a nuisance !

I wonder if you could voice your concern that they were clearly suffering mass hysteria - possibly related to drug use, move them off the road and cable tie them to a lamp-post or whatever FOR THEIR SAFETY. ?

Personally I prefer Miks non-deadly cable tying to the nearest lamp post option by their hands then some other members of the public can engage in skiffing them.

But does it give you the right to nudge someone very slightly to encourage them to move ??? ;)

How badly were they injured? Presumably pretty badly with all this talk of assault?
