Bye Bye Boris!

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
The fact that Boris has accepted a criminal penalty renders this discussion futile.
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
The Labour partygate thing is clearly just the Tory press trying to drum up some heat to deflect away from Boris. There’s no evidence of any wrong doing. One of the images the Mail used in their story was cropped because the guy sitting next to Starmer died in 2019.
Same with the misogyny fest going on around Angela Rayner just now.

I like the concept of the Lib Dems, but I'm not a fan of Ed Davey. I quite like our local candidate, but unfortunately he's probably pissing into the wind in our constituency.Swervin_Mervin wrote: Wed May 04, 2022 1:28 pm
Where are the Lib Dems? This is an open goal and yet the only press I've seen recently was about Ed Davey losing 2st in 7 weeks- nothing in terms of attempting to fill the void created by the other two clown parties.
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
The Lib Dems have never recovered from Nick Clegg which is a shame since they’d probably do quite well just now with everyone calling for all politics to move to the centre

They must be able to find a better leader than Ed Davey though, that would be a start.ZedLeg wrote: Wed May 04, 2022 7:47 pm The Lib Dems have never recovered from Nick Clegg which is a shame since they’d probably do quite well just now with everyone calling for all politics to move to the centre![]()

Yes really and no - it was actually a thread from some random on Twitter that pieces it all together. He absolutely has been telling porkie pies about it all. Whether it was a party might be hard to say but the lies are extensive.Jobbo wrote: Wed May 04, 2022 5:19 pmReally? Are you just consuming the Daily Mail and Torygraph? Not saying Starmer is my particular choice, but he's at least trustworthy unlike Boris and the rest of the cabinet. In fact, is there a single trustworthy Tory MP or peer currently?
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
It’s not exactly solid evidence, it’s just compiled stories from all the right leaning papers and insinuations that the police haven’t investigated it properly for some reason.

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
Right leaning papers? I see interviews on the BBC and Sky, Labour MP tweets, Starmers own tweets even! A couple relating to articles in the Mail and Sun yes, and a couple of excerpts from Guido but it's not all right leaning and they all point to massive holes in their story.

Question still stands that if the police have already investigated it and decided it’s not worth pursuing, what do people think is going on?

And he's still lied about many aspects of it all.
I'm not saying he's as bad as Boris. I don't believe he is - I think Boris has set a new bar on that score. But he and Rayner still appear to be a bit playful with the truth. That was more my point. I don't see them as offering anything better than the Conservatives.
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
I’m by no means a fan of Starmer and the direction he’s taking the Labour party, the way that he and Angela Rayner have been reported on recently is reminding me of what happened with Corbyn before the GE though. Just throw enough shit at them and see what sticks.

Political campaigning was permitted ahead of the local elections at the time, seems like the media are going full animal farm this week as all politicians would have been doing the same, as they are this evening.

It’s looking like it’s going to be a bad day for the tories and a good one for the Lib Dems and greens.
