Coronavirus
Re: Coronavirus
Indeed it's not always the case, but it is down to luck. If you're indoors with your partner for a couple of days then chances are you're going to catch it.
And fingers crossed for Broccers. Gout doesn't count as a risky underlying health condition; I know from first hand experience!

Re: Coronavirus
No 'rona here according to the rapid antigen years but I have got a nasty, shitty cold. Which mixed in with a dodgy back is.... Not fun.
*Cough*
*Coouuugh-cough*
*Coug-ahyabastardcunttwat*
Did that a few times last night, enough to wake me up several times.
Suffice to say I'm not working today - fuck that noise.

You may have unwittingly coined a new phrase
Re: Coronavirus
Seems like loads of people I know have it at the moment. Everyone has relatively mild symptoms though.
Re: Coronavirus
It really is the gift that keeps on giving.
Eldest came back from Uni late Thursday and felt a bit rough with the a dry cough every now and then. We certainly weren't that concerned with being in the same car as him for 3 hours. Friday morning he was still groggy so took a quick test which turned out negative. Saturday however, after feeling worse he took another test, this time positive. He's been wiped out basically for a few days now - hot/cold, shivers, bad headaches and feeling exhausted.
The rest of the household have all (so far) tested negative, which given our history of Covid is a relief!

Re: Coronavirus
Mrs Mike has been sleeping in the camper van on the driveway, totally living up to her pikey heritage. No idea what the neighbours must be thinking... She's still negative while I'm still positive.
Got some proper painkillers and sleepy snoozy snooze cough medicine as the lack of sleep is driving me insane.

Irish. To be sure.
She's now testing positive, so I will keep the tarmac jokes to myself for the next while.
Cheers,

I have had 3 tests now and all negative but I am unwell. I have the tickly cough, runny nose and bit of a foggy head. Having had colds previously its pretty similar

Re: Coronavirus
Me and my son are positive this morning - just in time for school holidays when we normally use family for childcare...
It's so frustrating that restrictions were completely dropped, particularily for smaller businesses. My main employer is a core team of six; Owner, Me, Designer, Managing Engineer, Engineer, Junior. We spend very little time together but last week the designer and engineer had it, I have it today and the owner is feeling rough but testing negative, so we're crippled with resource for about three weeks.
The designer certainly got it from a wedding last Monday, the engineer from a Friday night out, me from a 3 hour site meeting this Tuesday and the owner from sitting next to me for about four hours over the last two days.

Re: Coronavirus
My mrs still testing positive 10 days after - she is not unwell but cant go back to work because rules.
The bad cold I had lasted 4 days and I have a bit of a cough still but after testing negative consistently I gave up.
This made me lol this morning

You of all people should know the rules have been abolished. Tell her to get back out there infecting people!Broccers wrote: Wed Apr 06, 2022 8:41 am My mrs still testing positive 10 days after - she is not unwell but cant go back to work because rules.
Re: Coronavirus
'Work rules'
Re: Coronavirus
NHS rules were always stop testing after day 10, she could be testing positive for months due to the way lateral flow tests work
