Constantly breaking (diesel fuel pipe, inlet manifold, exhaust falling off, oil leak, oil leak, wheel bearing) since December and there’s more to come so gonna get rid of it asap
Re: Your fleet running reports
If I was going to have a crack at a Turo type gig I couldn't think of a more appropriate set of wheels

Re: Your fleet running reports
Yeah it was 50mph average speed cams so definitely needed the extra grip
Re: Your fleet running reports
My neighbour parks his like that - don't want the wind to blow it away ya know.
How about not having a sig at all?

For comparison; https://www.celtictuning.co.uk/services ... t3-contentSundayjumper wrote: Sun Mar 27, 2022 10:34 pm I idly browsed remaps yesterday and these guys reckon 180bhp / 400Nm (=295 ft-lb) ! That's an immense increase, and might actually make it OK for towing the Compact. Is it realistic ? Will it grenade the entire transmission immediately ?

Re: Your fleet running reports
The diesel leak on the van, The Internet has said you always need to replace the o-rings on the leak off connectors. The new hose didn’t come with new o-rings so I have ordered some. I am very much hoping that’s the answer. Finding & fixing leaks is not a fun job.
In the meantime I’ve managed to turn to the nice to have jobs, with some new front speakers and a small amp to boost it all round. It takes 5.25” speakers and this size used to be common - it’s the size in the front of the E36 - but modern cars have gone larger and there’s slim pickings second hand now. I relented and bought some Phoenix Gold. They are a shadow of their former selves but seem to be an OK budget brand now (<£50 / pair). And a small JL amp that I already had “in stock”.
I still have a bunch of ICE stuff from the olden days and with the amount of space available in a van I could get quite carried away.

Fabia:
The ABS and TC lights have decided to stay on again, and this time they haven’t extinguished themselves after a couple of restarts. Boo!
Although… it’s clearly warm/dry enough, even with a cold few days this week, for the front electric windows to start working again. Yay!
£15 of super as a splash and dash doesn’t go far at over £8/gallon now. Boo!

Re: Your fleet running reports
I've been thinking about consolidating the fleet. The idea is to replace the Vito and my wife's focus with something that can do the job of both. The new Caddy life or the Ford equivalent (when they are released) is top of the list at the moment. I'm also tempted by another cheapish mx5 for the summer.

And it’s based on the 88hp model, mine’s the 95hp, which the other bunch are referring to. There was a small change somewhere in ‘06 or ‘07, I’ve no idea exactly what it entailed, but everything got a slight boost.
