I'm going to blame the covid fever, but I think I might have put a deposit down on a build slot on one of these...jamcg wrote: Tue Mar 15, 2022 2:56 pm
The front of the current m3/4 is really growing on me after absolutely hating it at first. But that back end of the incoming m3 estate is![]()
You all knew it would happen. I have previous with BMW estates/bread vans/clown shoes....
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: Today’s want

Local dealer has a "few" deposits already, but no indication of release date or how many build slots they'll get as they're still finding their allocations being cut due to the continued global supply issues.
It does look like its got one hell of a sexy rump though.
(Might be the fever talking)

Nice one Mike.
I saw yesterday on PH that there are now ways of improving the front end as well, if you find it offensive enough.
This one apparently only replaces the grille itself.

Oddly I've grown accustomed to them now though and actually don't mind them so much

It doesn't look as bad as I first thought with a UK number plate across it, but I'm not a big fan. I guess we've all learned with car designs that they can grow on you over time. I think I've only seen one of them in the actual flesh though.
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: Today’s want
The back of that M3 estate is brilliant, finally a rear to trump the RS4.
I’m not convinced on the fussy front end in general but that grill swap does help a lot. The standard one is gopping.
Dave!

Makes it look even more like an attempt to bring back Pontiac imo.

The only thing is - stick a number plate on it and most of the benfit of that grille is hidden and it largely looks the same as the originalV8Granite wrote: Thu Mar 31, 2022 11:59 am The back of that M3 estate is brilliant, finally a rear to trump the RS4.

Re: Today’s want
Yep, that aftermarket grill is only useful for those tiny offset numberplate wankers.
How about not having a sig at all?

I'm rapidly going full Vito fanboi
and came across this, a W447 Vito with a 585hp AMG 4.0L V8 BiTurbo swapped in. The video shows some drag racing against fast-ish road cars and the van doesn't seem to ever win, but it's not at all humiliated either.
