As alluded to on the other thread, after the demise of the 911 I was left with one three cylinder city car. Hmmm.

So after considering my options, being a masochist I replaced the FFRR that got stolen with... another FFRR! Given this was going to be my only car for a while (the Smart technically being my wife's) I decided to upgrade a little on the old one and bought a facelift 68 plate model. This one also came mit 4.4 V8! Full her maj spec: Loire Blue with Ivory and wood interior.

As you can see, this one is secured with silly yellow steering lock and also in several other ways... which I'm not going to divulge on a public forum!!





We've already been to France in it in half term and put pretty much 2,000 miles on it since late December (a lot of our driving is in the city so apparently this equates to 75 hours of driving!) - here's an arty pic from the road trip.



Parking in underground parking beneath the hotel was stress inducing in the extreme. The down ramp was so tight I had to take two bites to get round it whilst holding it on the brakes down a 45 degree incline - never again



Typically we also had some drama on the way home - somehow picking this up just before we got on the eurotunnel back

Yes well I'm a bit all or nothing with 4x4s - there is not much else I'd really want.

Let's just say I'm glad it now has extra security. I caught a woman walking down the middle of the street at 5am a week after we got it stopping every 2 or 3 feet to press a button on her phone repeatedly... clearly scanning for signals from keys from one of the adjacent houses. Needless to say she didn't find any (and it wouldn't have helped her anyway...) but clearly the gangs keep a close eye on new cars arriving in 'their area'.

Love it! Colour is very nice and the interior looks a great place to spend hours.. what’s it like with denim/red trousers?

That is a good point - the edge of the drivers side seat does have a slight blue tinge to it but I think a bit of leather cleaner will get that out (hopefully!).

One other point is that the cream seatbelts are already a bit grubby - I’ll get it in for a detail at some point and failing that will just replace them.

Baby wet wipes are great at getting the blue off light coloured leather.
