My Z4 isn’t much lighter, especially when I’m driving

Yes that’s almost the same weight as a G80 M3 which has loads of carbon fibre bits, is much smaller and doesn’t have a diesel boat anchor at the front.
How about not having a sig at all?

Apparently they used carbon fibre in the core structure to keep the weight down.

Along similar lines but not exactly, I spotted this 7-series in a really nice spec; not just an M-Sport, it's rather tasteful with a bit of chrome and some pretty and rare alloys: https://usedcars.bmw.co.uk/vehicle/202201141349817

Im not a fan of the non msport, just doesn't look right. It is only 12 months ago that I paid £4k more for a brand new (prereg) msport version of the same car, that one is 4 years and 25,000 miles older.
Yeah, prices were very sensible then went up and are now mad. So I’d not be buying.

Every 7-series you see is an MSport; that Exclusive spec with Individual wheels looks like the sort of car someone who bought and specced it with his own money chose, not just a chauffeur lease spec.

There is a voice in the back of my head adding up what I’ve lost by selling the 7 too soon

How utterly predictable of me. Fortunately it's over 200 miles away so I can't just "pop out" and "accidentally" bring it home.

The front of the current m3/4 is really growing on me after absolutely hating it at first. But that back end of the incoming m3 estate is 😍

I always liked the new M3 (other than the grille, but that's hidden by the reg plate) to the extent that I ponder ordering an M3 Touring. How much would it cost to fuel, and how much would it depreciate, doing 30k miles a year for 2 years I wonder?

It just serves as a reminder of their stupidity in never offering an M3 Touring before now.

Quoted for truth.

:? not in that pic it isn't (arches aside). It always seemed odd having a cabrio but not a Touring.

I still don’t really like the current m3 from any angle. The front looks just as gopping as ever, but the rear isn’t much better. I followed a blue m3 yesterday for a little bit and the big squared off ‘diffuser’ looked like someone had glued a black cardboard box to the bumper.

The touring will be the coolest version, but still pretty much zero desire to ever own one.

And yes, the decision not to make an m3 touring for every shape after the e30 has been absurd.
Cheers, Harry

I’ve seen an Ultima up close, and remember it as “compact”.

As these images demonstrate….

I’d like him to put the wing back on, but yes - in general : wibble.
