I am beginning to regret not having gone fully aftermarket when I did all the arms and shocks 3-4years ago...But I'm not swapping them out now with them only having about 25k miles on!integrale_evo wrote: Wed Feb 23, 2022 10:02 pm Sounds like an excuse to stick a set of coilovers on to me![]()

ETA: I actually ordered the out of stock Sachs ones earlier from Amazon, so I'll see if I get an update on stock arrival anytime soon.

If you haven't already, it might be worth trying https://www.gsfcarparts.com/

Plenty round here! Helps that my brother is parts manager for Renault I suppose though and he has some decent contacts!Swervin_Mervin wrote: Wed Feb 23, 2022 9:40 pmWhat are they?scotta wrote: Wed Feb 23, 2022 3:51 pmPresume you've tried the local motor factors?Swervin_Mervin wrote: Wed Feb 23, 2022 2:58 pm
I hadn't read that thread of his yet - interesting to see his experiences with them though and comments regarding it being a marketplace.
Nowhere seemingly has any stock of the correct springs at the moment - I thought I'd lucked out seeing the Sachs version pop up on Amazon (£41 each delivered!) but they're out of stock as well.
So aside from BMW direct Autodoc is the only other option at the moment. But given the various model-dependant spring options the reviews I've seen of Autodoc getting it right don't fill me with much confidence.Haven't had any decent local motor factors for donkeys years round here - it's GSF or ECP. Neither of them has stock of Sachs or Bilstein, and similarly there's nowt on ebay.
Madness!

I've used Autodoc quite a bit and never had an issue. They've been great for parts and tools.

Well let's see what happens. I've caved and gone for the Sachs ones off Autodoc. If they show up I'll cancel the Amazon order
