No F1 thread?
Re: No F1 thread?
The McLaren looks pretty unique looking at it from above.
I can’t figure out how the DRS will work on the rear wing as it all looks like a single solid part. The front wing has loads of tabs to adjust it but again the rear is a solid part.
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: No F1 thread?
I think mclaren has indeed fitted a solid top element with no drs for effect on the showcar, unless they’ve done something like they did on the speedtail with flexible carbon fibre. You can see where the astons drs will open here
Re: No F1 thread?
I guess the Aston is the only semi accurate car at this stage as they actually did their promo runs in Silverstone with it. However this was a good observation so perhaps mclaren have a wing similar to what will appear at the first test session.

Re: No F1 thread?
It seems like I’m going against the general grain here but the Williams looks crap to me

Re: No F1 thread?
The studio shots looked ok, in the real world it looks shit
Re: No F1 thread?
I don't know what a good or shit 2022 F1 car looks like, TBH I'm surprised you guys do.
I really can't decide what I want to happen this season, would be great to see Mclaren, Ferrari and Williams all competing really. I think the only thing I know is that I don't want Max to win.

Re: No F1 thread?
Purely aesthetics at this point. The livery looks a bit low rent and doesn’t really suit the car. And I really dislike the way the front nose cone looks lumpy.

Fair enough, agreed, not a great livery!Mito Man wrote: Wed Feb 16, 2022 9:41 am Purely aesthetics at this point. The livery looks a bit low rent and doesn’t really suit the car. And I really dislike the way the front nose cone looks lumpy.
Re: No F1 thread?
Good to see the cars looking different from each other again.

Apart from some questionable driving, I don't mind Max.
Horner and Marko are insufferable though...

Re: No F1 thread?
Max is whiney. That's enough to put me off.
Re: No F1 thread?
It's the attitude and questionable driving that put me off, but I'm very happy he's there. As I always say, F1 always needs a villain character, and it will be different for different people, but it needs to be a really good driver. Max fits the bill perfectly!
Re: No F1 thread?
I'm sure equally Lewis fits the bill perfectly for Max fans.
Re: No F1 thread?
Not just the British media, the French have declared Lewis the 2021 champion!
Re: No F1 thread?
Ferrari has now been launched
It looks nuts with the oval side pods and super skinny nose. I love the 90's colour scheme. Hopefully it's not as shit as their 90's attempts though

Re: No F1 thread?
Sky and C4 were clearly biased towards Max!
Ferrari looks Mega.
Re: No F1 thread?
Masi sacked then, but Lewis still doesn't get the 2021 championship. Which is right, since it must be won on the track not after the event, IMO, even if the rules are fucked up at the time.

I'm glad something came of it. The idea that something so fundamentally dumb could be shrugged off was pretty unpalatable.Jobbo wrote: Thu Feb 17, 2022 2:17 pm Masi sacked then, but Lewis still doesn't get the 2021 championship.
