Bye Bye Boris!
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
The one in May is no biggie IMO, people were allowed to go to work then, it was outside, and so what if there was booze there. I don't think that was precluded under the rules anyway.
The ones inside in December are a much worse look for the government.
My biggest concern is that they are dumb enough to think they would get away with it.

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
I think Boris is running on empty these days, and a Samuel Butler quote is all there is left to give him any solace. "Any fool can tell the truth, but it requires a man of some sense to know how to lie well."
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
This was at the time when you could only meet one parent at a time outside.
At least the booze explains some of the decision making.

Re: Bye Bye Boris!
I dunno - they decide to host an important meeting in the outdoors, instead of an enclosed meeting room - they break off into smaller groups to reduce the close contact and still they get criticised.
Jeez, the government can't do right for doing wrong...

I see Kunt and the Gang are doing pretty well promoting their new single, Boris Johnson is still a fucking cunt: https://borisjohnson.info/
Really hope it beats fucking Ladbaby to the Christmas no.1.

I'm with Duncs on this one. Again, it's no big deal. When you've got a cheeky scamp like Boris, it's just something you can't hold against him. Much like him handshaking at the start of the pandemic, the parties, not wearing masks in hospitals and trains and the rest of the nonsense people are making a unnecessary fuss about.
Oui, je suis un motard.
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
Yes, but it's not a work meeting then if she's involved (and she's holding her baby) as she's not employed by the government. Ergo, it was socialising.
Also, as has been pointed out, no laptop, no pens, no whiteboard, but wine etc. That's not a meeting.

Hey, BoJo has done a lot wrong, I just don't think this is the one people should be getting bent out of shape over.
Re: Bye Bye Boris!
Exactly, why should people be annoyed by this? If I pulled up chairs and tables and drank wine outside work with my work collegues in a full lockdown, I don't think I'd get in trouble at all!duncs500 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 2:37 pmNow then Marv!Marv wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 2:03 pmI'm with Duncs on this one. Re: Bye Bye Boris!
I think that if it was that one event in isolation it would just be another "oh Boris " moment but it's the latest in a long line of indicators that the government handling of the whole pandemic goes beyond incompetent to deliberately neglectful.
An absolute unit

That's why the photo has come out now, not when it happened - nobody would have batted an eyelid. But with the compounding effect of Boris's recent (much worse) behaviour - such as trying to change the rules to get Owen Paterson off the hook - it presents very badly

If there are more of the leaks to come, I expect them to be timed to coincide with coercive announcements.Jobbo wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 4:49 pm That's why the photo has come out now, not when it happened - nobody would have batted an eyelid. Aye. Insaw something earlier positing that the vantage point of that photo has to have been from No.11...MikeHunt wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 8:30 pmIf there are more of the leaks to come, I expect them to be timed to coincide with coercive announcements.Jobbo wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 4:49 pm That's why the photo has come out now, not when it happened - nobody would have batted an eyelid. Re: Bye Bye Boris!
Yes, I saw that. But I’d already seen the chap on Twitter who produced all the plans and so on, who said it was basically a hoax that he’d made plausible. Good to see the newspapers picking up on something fabricatedSwervin_Mervin wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 10:00 pmAye.
