We drove through this storm yesterday on the M6. Temporarily flooded the carriageway, lots of stricken cars presumably hydraulic locked. Never seen rain like it. Glad I wasn't in the 7Swervin_Mervin wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 6:47 pm Some big ol thunderstorms this arvo here. It even struck the local hospital and set fire to it

There's a v. dark, dirty, murky cloud overhead, and when I say overhead I mean I'm right in the middle of it like a bullseye on a dartboard.
Oh, it's started pishing down now. Super.

Happy Winter Solstice
Happily the sky has cleared for the longest night and the rising 94%-full moon
I think a night drive will be in order

I'm going to walk up to the stones tomorrow if the weather is kind. Hopefully will stay clear long enough.
Cheers.

Weather at the moment is nuts.
12deg, mild, clear & dry? It's the 29th of December! Glad I didn't bother cramming the Alfa into the garage now, it's basically spring already.

It was 16 degrees just out of London today! But there’s a permanent damp fog about for as long as I can remember now.
Fortunately it’s meant the roads haven’t been gritted in weeks though.

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: The Weather Thread.
The temp's been ok, but very windy and as Mito says, it's persistently murky Lovely sunset tonight though, first for a long while, so a wee bit o' respite there.

Yep, damp, drizzly and horrible. Was actually woken up yesterday by the wind lashing against the bedroom window.
Lack of salt is tempting me to take the ‘sud out, but all the crap weather and all the muck and grime on the roads has stopped me.
