Harry’s Garage
Re: Harry’s Garage
It’s a lovely thing.
Couldn’t think of a worse car to take out for a drive down country lanes in December though .

Re: Harry’s Garage
The French brochure stated it (about 6:45) and then Harry refers to the performance pack which went on a lot of the slant-nose having 330 horsepower (about 8:00). He doesn't say it has more than that but of course it may have. The LE had 330bhp without the visible oil cooler though.
Re: Harry’s Garage
That's exactly what I was wondering too! Even with the missing history, that's a very limited car plus the rebuild? I wasn't sure what values would be like for something like this.
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: Harry’s Garage
I have found a brochure for the 930 Turbo LE which states that it has an oil cooler; seems the front bumper is simply a later design. Very similar to the Turbo S generally then.
Re: Harry’s Garage
I reckon he probably got a bit of a bargain. LHD, no history and the RUF wheels would all count against it to a degree, £130k would be my bet.

Re: Harry’s Garage
I'm very "meh" about this generation of 911 but I love the look of this. Especially with the RUF wheels. They look great!
Re: Harry’s Garage
Can’t answer for McSwede, but I didn’t desire any 911 until the 993 came along.
Over the years I’ve subsequently grown to like the 964, but that’s as early a car as I would want to own personally.
Re: Harry’s Garage
Some people go through puberty later than others, it’s ok, we aren’t all the same
Although I predict that to drive I’d take a 993 over a 930, 964 etc every time but that rear wing has a lot of clout.

Re: Harry’s Garage
He seems absolutely smitten with the car. And even with the missing papers, the full-on rebuild makes it pukka in my view. If anything, the history gap even ads interest. Looks a hoot to drive, too.
Re: Harry’s Garage
WTF is the floating blurr at about 9mins 10secs when he's showing off the dash? Maybe some silly average speeds or something?
Re: Harry’s Garage
That’s weird - not covering average speed cos you see that (37mph).
Re: Harry’s Garage
Pausing it frame by frame looks like it's covering a map with the road name on it, so I guess just hiding where he lives.

Re: Harry’s Garage
Seems a bit unnecessary given the first Google hit for ‘Harrison Metcalfe’ is his home address but I guess you have to be careful with a garage of rare supercars.
Re: Harry’s Garage
Nice looking car and interesting to see that he thinks the setup is now much more track-focused than previous generations and too harsh for our typical B roads. I do wonder if that would put anybody off buying one though as presumably you're going to be aware of the limitations/compromises of having something like this for road use.
At least he mentioned the ridiculous situation with the limited run of these and the flippers, but at this point its clear Porsche don't give a single fvck about it.

Re: Harry’s Garage
I had forgotten this as it got lost in the discussion about ride, grip etc on the Cotswold roads, but was anyone else gobsmacked by the water ingress into the headlights / rear lights on this brand new £130k Porsche? That is not the sort of build quality I remember.
Re: Harry’s Garage
Very surprising to see the condensation, especially on a press car.

Even my shonky cheap 28 year old Porsche doesn't do thatExplosive Newt wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 5:57 pm I had forgotten this as it got lost in the discussion about ride, grip etc on the Cotswold roads, but was anyone else gobsmacked by the water ingress into the headlights / rear lights on this brand new £130k Porsche?
