I’ve just sold some wheels on eBay, specified them as collection in person only. The buyer wants me to wrap them up and sit at home for a day or two waiting for a courier to come and pick them up

EBay collection only
The only surprise is that it’s been a while since last time it happened.

Had the same. Sadly I stupidly agreed to do it. Never again.

I always offer shipping on big items even if it's a PITA to encourage collection, e.g. it might be £50+ depending on what it is. Although I guess a set of wheels need to be palletised which is whole other kettle of fish.

I sold a monitor and graphics card on eBay yesterday. I took the monitor to the post office rather than entertaining collection.

Then there are those who turn up with less money and front it's that or nothing. Ta ta w'nker.
